US-based insurance brokerage EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants has expanded and renamed its healthcare practice.
The practice will now operate under the name Edgewood Healthcare Advisors, specialising in insurance and risk service requirements of operations across the healthcare ecosystem.
The practice houses EPIC’s existing healthcare resources along with the specialists and resources added through the takeover of Integro Insurance Brokers’ US business by EPIC.
EPIC president of risk management Marc Kunney said: “Combining resources and streamlining operations around our clients enables us to move faster while continuing to deliver innovative solutions and superior service to them.”
Managing principal Susan Tewhill will be in charge of the practice.
Tewhill noted: “We have an experienced and growing group of professionals with a passion for developing solutions for clients in the healthcare industry.

Currently, EPIC offers property and casualty, specialty programmes, private client solutions, as well as employee benefits services through more than 70 branches. The firm’s staff headcount is over 2,000.
At the end of last year, EPIC snapped up specialty insurance intermediary Vanbridge.
