EquiTrust Life Insurance Company is planning to open new offices in Illinois, a move which is expected to create hundreds of jobs over the coming years.
The company will open its first Illinois office in Chicago, where it expects to add nearly 200 employees in one year.

EquiTrust’s latest announcement is part of Illinois Governor Pat Quinn’s plan to create jobs and drive the state’s economy forward.
Speaking about the plan, EquiTrust CEO Jeff Lange said the Governor and Illinois Department of Insurance have been helpful in assisting the company in its efforts.
"We believe it is an excellent place from which to continue implementing EquiTrust’s growth strategy and find increasingly better ways to serve the company’s various constituents," Lange added.
EquiTrust, which also has presence in Des Moines, Iowa, distributes fixed-rate and indexed annuities as well as life insurance through a network of more than 14,500 independent agents across the country.
