Status Global Insurance brand Europesure Travel Insurance has rolled out new Covid-19 cover as an optional add-on to its travel insurance offering.
The new product offers coverage to customers who need to cancel their trip after being hospitalised due to Covid-19, and also to those who have become infected by the disease during their trip.
The firm provides a cancellation cover of up to £/€ 1,500 for every insured person, who is hospitalised due to Covid-19 for about 28 days before the trip.
Customers will receive medical, repatriation and funeral expenses if they become sick due to coronavirus during their trip.
Status Global Insurance director Paul O’Sullivan said: “We are delighted to be one of the first companies to offer cancellation and medical cover in respect of Covid-19 to our affiliate network and clients based throughout Europe.
“The World is trying to open up again and Europesure is striving to be at the forefront of innovative solutions giving additional cover and security to those who want to start travelling again. We welcome enquiries from any brokers or introducers who have clients in Europe and who want to be able to offer this product to their clients.”
