Toby Simpson has joined Friends Provident International (FPI) as its regional sales director for Southeast Asia.
Simpson reports to Chris Gill, general manager (SE Asia) of FPI’s Singapore Branch. Simpson’s appointment is a newly created position to support the growth of FPI’s business in Singapore, as well as in the region.
Simpson has extensive experience in the insurance industry having worked for several major financial services companies in sales management positions in Asia, Middle East, South Africa and the UK over the last 20 years.
Prior to joining FPI, he was director, head of sales and distribution at Transamerica Life.
Commenting on Simpson’s appointment, Gill said: "Toby brings a wealth of distribution experience from insurance, wealth management and banking. I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome Fung Ling Kok who joins as regulatory reporting manager from Zurich where she was senior finance manager. Both Toby and Fung Ling join the senior management team of the Singapore Branch."
