Friends Life has beefed
up it Protect+ critical illness offering by adding four new
conditions that are covered and removing restrictions on pay-outs
linked to terminal illnesses.
The new conditions
covered include sudden cardiac arrest, a pituitary tumour, cerebral
arteriovenous malformation and cerebral aneurysm. A new condition,
Childs Hydrocephalus, has also been added for children.
Sudden cardiac arrest
will be eligible for full payment up to 100% of the sum assured,
and ulcerative colitis has been enhanced from a partial to a full
payment.
Conditions related to
terminal illness payments have been improved and payments will now
be paid in cases where a terminal illness is diagnosed within 12
months of the end date of the policy.
Friends Life Protect+
was launched in October 2011.
