Generali Global Corporate & Commercial (GC&C) has teamed up with SRS Altitude, a specialist managing general underwriter operating in the ART sector.

The alliance marks GC&C’s foray into the structured reinsurance segment of the ART market.

It is in line with GC&C’s strategy to bolster its ART offerings and expand its client base across various business lines.

The partnership is expected to enhance GC&C’s ART and captive solutions, providing opportunities for cross-selling and bolstering its value proposition.

SRS Altitude will also benefit from Generali’s dedicated reinsurance capacity and expertise, offering tailored ART solutions to corporate clients and their captives.

GC&C CEO Christian Kanu said: “I am proud of this partnership with SRS Altitude, and I am convinced that it represents a unique opportunity to further strengthen our alternative risk transfer offering. This agreement will enhance cross-selling opportunities and strengthen our overall value proposition. Thanks to this collaboration and our global reach and expertise, we will be able to deliver best-in-class services to our clients.”

SRS Altitude CEO Loredana Mazzoleni Neglén said: “SRS Altitude will leverage the dedicated reinsurance capacity, global reach and technical excellence of Generali Global Corporate & Commercial to provide tailored ART solutions for corporate clients and their captives. Our combined strengths will deliver exceptional expertise and capital, meeting clients’ unique needs.”

Earlier this year, GC&C Italy collaborated with tyre manufacturer Pirelli and Aon to create an insurance solution aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Most recently, GC&C strengthened its leadership team in the Mediterranean and Latin America with three key appointments.

On 6 May, Frederico Gonçalves took on the role of head of property.

As of 1 June, Joaquin Espallargas Barrio assumed the responsibility of head of GC&C Portugal, while Manuel Lezama became head of marine & aviation underwriting.
