The re-launching was done in line with its objective of strengthening relationships with existing customers and bringing insurance to the doorstep of every Ghanaian by introducing affordable products.

The company said that the two micro insurance products which are re-launched are pure term insurance policies designed to provide insurance protection for the low income earners such as clerical and factory workers, petty traders, artisans, peasant farmers and many more.

The products can be taken out as a standalone policy or together with a savings benefit. Anidaso and Edwa Nkosuo can also be extended to cover the principal life insured’s immediate dependants, i.e. spouse and children below 18 years, or above 18 years only if the child is in full time education.

Besides, prospective customers have the option to extend the policy to include other benefits such as Hospitalization Income and Accident Disability.

Commenting on the re-launch, GLICO Life micro insurance manager, Cynthia Ewusi, said: "The re-launch was a huge success and as a result, the company has managed to sign on many policyholders unto GLICO LIFE micro insurance policies."
