Griffin Highline Capital, HDI Global Specialty and industry veteran Craig Landi have launched Falcon Risk Holdings, a managing general agency in the US.

Falcon will provide a full suite of insurance services under the leadership of CEO Landi.

Initially, it will focus on underwriting and claims management of financial and cyber lines of insurance business across the US.

Falcon will utilise an analytical approach to underwriting and claims management.

It will also leverage its connections with brokers to distribute its management, professional and cyber liability product portfolio.

Landi said: “I am excited to partner with Griffin Highline and HDI to create a leading financial lines underwriter and claims management company. Together, we are committed to supporting the growth of Falcon and building a best-in-class team.”

HDI, together with its US affiliates, will support Falcon with underwriting capacity.

HDI CEO Ralph Beutter added: “We have a great opportunity to provide a new and compelling offering to the US market through this MGA partnership with Griffin Highline. We wish Craig and the rest of the Falcon team well in their endeavours.”

Griffin Highline is a holding company that invests in and actively manages insurance operating businesses.

HDI, on the other hand, is a joint venture of Hannover Re and HDI Global SE.

It specialises in writing agency and speciality insurance business covering legal expenses insurance, aviation, sports and entertainment, offshore energy and animal insurance.
