John Hancock Life, Canadian insurer
Manulife Financial’s US unit, has won high-praise for its marketing
material from the Insurance and Financial Communicators Association
(IFCA) and for its sales materials for distribution partners. John
Hancock has received six awards from the IFCA including two ‘Best
of Show’, its highest award, to be presented at the industry body’s
annual award ceremony.

John Hancock earned the two highest
awards for its Tools for Success calendar and LifeCare Mailer
initiatives. The former was praised by IFCA judges for its
“cohesive presentation” and “clever concepts and clear
messaging.”

The latter the IFCA judges found to
be “quick, easy to read and providing information that would
motivate the producer to ask for more information.” The LifeCare
Mailer was designed to promote John Hancock’s new LifeCare, a
product combining life insurance with long-term care benefits.

John Hancock also received Awards
for Excellence for three initiatives: Its Advisor Brief comprising
online tools illustrating where life insurance fits into the estate
and business plan, its Key to Life microsite emphasising how life
insurance can address client needs, and its sales incentive
conference materials designed to encourage producers to meet
targets to attend annual sales meetings.
