Wisconsin, US-based Opterrix has announced that its Claims software and weather data has been licensed by Hippo Insurance to improve its claims management capabilities associated with severe weather conditions.
With Opterrix Claims software, Hippo home Insurance Services gains real-time awareness of upcoming extreme weather conditions, which will in turn enable it to improve and speed up claims response strategies as well as street-level tools to carry out informed investigations after storm.
Hippo Insurance Services chief claims officer Grace Hanson said: “Opterrix has built one of the most sophisticated GIS and weather data platforms in the industry. It enables us to identify at-risk policyholders after a severe weather event to proactively reach out to policyholders who may have experienced a loss.
