Specialist insurer Hiscox UK has enhanced operational productivity and service delivery by migrating to Sapiens’ latest cloud-native architecture, powered by Kubernetes.
Hiscox UK, a Sapiens partner since 2014, has gone live with the Sapiens Insurance Platform, now fully deployed on the Sapiens Cloud.
The migration from Microsoft Azure is said to have resulted in an average 30% improvement in application speed.
The Sapiens Insurance Platform is an AI-based, open, integrated platform designed to accelerate adoption, deliver sustained value and optimise insurance operations.
The adoption of Sapiens’ cloud-native architecture will allow Hiscox UK to benefit from Sapiens’ research and development investments.
With an application programming interface (API) layer, Hiscox can now integrate solutions for rating, rules and document management to enhance its digital trading capabilities.
This improved ecosystem enables Hiscox to offer services across its commercial lines and private client assets.
Hiscox CTO Ian Wrigglesworth said: “Sapiens Insurance Platform is pivotal to Hiscox’s continued growth, enabling us to create a connected ecosystem with the best technologies available to help deliver our strategic goals. By wrapping two years of new features into a single update, the Sapiens’ go-live has helped strengthen the operational foundations of our business, which is fundamental to our strategy for growth.”
Sapiens president and CEO Roni Al-Dor stated: “Our long-term partnership with Hiscox exemplifies Sapiens’ commitment to delivering tangible business benefits through a high-performance, resilient platform. By migrating to the Sapiens Cloud with Sapiens Insurance Platform, we not only empower Hiscox with cutting-edge technology but also provide a robust foundation for continuous innovation and sustainable growth.”
Last month, Hiscox introduced a new financial institutions offering, covering options includes directors and officers, professional indemnity/errors and omissions, crime and cyber.
