In his new role, Pick will be responsible for directing the company’s treasury function and investment strategy as well as oversight of the investment portfolio.
The company said that he will also direct all facets of the accounting and reporting functions, including regulatory filings, rating agency coordination, and external audit coordination.
Pick comes to Homesteaders from Alliance Commercial Partners in Denver, Colorado where he served as CFO. Prior to that, he spent 20 years with Principal Financial Group, including 10 years as CFO of one of its member companies, before joining Aviva Investors as vice president of business planning.
Commenting on the appointment, Homesteaders Life chief operating officer, Steve Lang, said: "With experience at companies such as Principal and Aviva, Pick will bring a fresh, new perspective to Homesteaders while continuing our tradition of conservative and prudent financial management."
