American insurance broker Hub International has acquired RHC Insurance Brokers and RHC Insurance Brokers (Cranbrook) to boost its presence in  western part of Canada.

The companies have not disclosed the financial terms of the deal.

Headquartered in Nelson, British Columbia, RHC is an independent Canadian insurance broker that offers both personal as well as commercial insurance products.

In addition to the office in Nelson, the acquired company has nine offices across the province.

The American brokerage firm in its press statement said that RHC’s CEO and CFO Tammy Darough will support Hub International Insurance Brokers, a division of Hub International Canada West, in an advisory role to carry out smooth transition.

Commenting on the deal, Hub Canada West president David Moon said: “RHC is an excellent addition to Hub.

“With RHC, we will continue to support long term growth throughout British Columbia and Western Canada. We are pleased to be able to meet the growing needs of both commercial and personal clients with our ever strengthening suite of insurance solutions and risk management services.”

Darough added: “Hub has a stellar reputation in the industry, and I know our clients will benefit from Hub’s extensive platform.
