American insurance brokerage HUB International has acquired the assets of Leading Edge Benefit Advisors and affiliates for an unknown sum.
The transaction covers the assets of Leading Edge Human Resource Services, Leading Edge Companies, Leading Edge Financial Group, Leading Edge Retirement Plan Advisors, and Leading Edge Wealth Advisors.
Located in Fort Myers, Florida, Leading Edge specialises in employee benefits and retirement planning and wealth management solutions.
Commenting on the development, HUB Florida CEO Chris Gardner said: “Leading Edge strengthens Hub’s depth and expertise with employee benefit and retirement services in Florida and expands our talent to an important part of our state.”
Headquartered in Illinois, Hub offers property and casualty, life and health, employee benefits, investment and risk management products and services to customers.
The company currently employs more than 12,000 people and has offices located throughout North America.

In June this year, the company took over the assets of The Clements Agency and its wholly-owned subsidiary Flagstaff Insurance for an undisclosed sum.
This followed HUB’s previous strategic acquisitions of Canada-based JM Rose Insurance Agency and Vestas Financial Services.
Recently, the company signed a premier preferred partnership with InsuraGuest Technologies subsidiary InsuraGuest to offer InsuraGuest’s Hospitality Liability coverage to its hotel clients in the US.
The companies plan to expand the partnership to include HUB’s clients in Canada by the middle of next year.
