US-based insurance claims management firm McLarens has acquired London-based global multi-disciplined loss adjusting and claims management company Lloyd Warwick International (LWI).
LWI was jointly owned by LWI employees and Crawford & Company. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquired firm specialises in complex onshore, offshore and renewable energy claims.
The company has a team of almost 50 adjusters offering a range of engineering, forensic and technical claims support services to the global insurance industry.
The acquisition is expected to bolster McLarens’ technical services and multi-disciplinary consulting capabilities in natural resources verticals.
It is expected to build up the company’s market presence in the oil and energy sector and enhance offerings in loss adjusting, major claims management, litigation support, and arbitration and mediation.

As part of the acquisition, LWI will merge with McLarens’ Natural Resources specialities services and will retain its head office in London.
The combined group will continue to conduct business under LWI’s brand, led by LWIchairman Joe McMahon.
Matthew LeBrun will join the group as Natural Resources in the Americas head and report directly to McMahon.
