
HDI Global has appointed Melanie Windirsch as the new head of International Programmes (IP), stepping into the role previously held by Dirk Höring, who has been promoted to the company’s Executive Board.
Reporting to Thomas Kuhnt, COO/CIO of HDI Global, Windirsch brings more than a decade of expertise from her time at Allianz Commercial.
In her most recent position, she served as head of Global Network Management and Multinational Governance and carried proficiency in underwriting.
She will now oversee a team of more than 50 across HDI Global IP Services, IP Operations and Technology, and Global Network departments.
HDI Global manages more than 5,100 international programmes, ensuring consistent implementation and adherence to uniform insurance standards, while meeting local compliance regulations.
Kuhnt said: “I am delighted to welcome Melanie to my leadership team. Her extensive experience and deep knowledge of the industry make her an invaluable asset to HDI Global. In September 2024, HDI Global established an inland marine unit within DI Global Insurance Company in the US. Rebecca Molosky has been appointed to lead this new unit as the head of inland marine.
