Global specialty insurer Mosaic has unveiled a strategic reorganisation aimed at enhancing the growth and operational efficiency of its agency business.

The restructuring, which came into effect from 15 July, underscores the insurer’s progression as a global entity with a business model mainly reliant on trade-capital partners across the existing seven speciality lines.

Mosaic, which currently represents 26 insurers worldwide, has originated more than $1bn in gross written premium (GWP) for agency partners in the past two years.

As part of the latest restructure, Mosaic has appointed Liam Jones as the new Agency CEO, tasked with charting the strategic direction and bolstering the profitability and operational excellence of Mosaic’s agency operations.

Jones will also focus on product development and enhancing underwriting capabilities across the group.

Lisa Fontanetta takes on the role of chief operating officer, with responsibility for managing the insurer’s overall operational strategy, focusing on efficiency and the integration of automation.
