United of Omaha, a Mutual of Omaha company, has unveiled a life insurance plan that enables insureds to simplify the funeral planning process.
The offering, Guaranteed Plus Whole Life insurance, was developed by United of Omaha. Moreover, it was in collaboration with Everest Funeral Concierge Service.

Guaranteed Plus combines the benefits of a Guaranteed Whole Life policy from United of Omaha and funeral planning services from Everest.
The new proposition offers guaranteed death benefits, comparison tools to compare costs at local funeral homes, online will preparation services, and round-the-clock funeral concierge assistance including gathering and presenting funeral pricing.
It also provides online planning and storage tools to enable insureds write their wishes and communicate them to family members.
Mutual of Omaha senior vice president Brian Poppe said: “After spending a great deal of time listening to our customers, we learned they want to make funeral planning simple and affordable, both for themselves and for the loved ones they leave behind.

Mutual of Omaha launched the new insurance policy for funeral planning after a survey that revealed that 81% of consumers want a more simplified funeral planning process, while 76% want help finding a funeral home that offers fair prices for their funeral.
Guaranteed Plus are purchased online or over the phone. This will be in select states starting 5 November 2018.
