NFP, a property and casualty (P&C) broker and part of Aon, has announced the acquisition of Miller Insurance Group (MIG), a P&C and benefits agency.
Financial terms of the transaction, which is expected to expand NFP’s commercial P&C offerings, were not disclosed.
Founded in 1937, MIG has established a presence in Indiana, providing commercial P&C insurance, employee benefits, and personal lines insurance to a diverse corporate clientele.
Under the terms of the agreement, Greg Miller, chairman of MIG, will take on the role of senior vice president within NFP, reporting directly to Amanda Ruback, P&C managing director in NFP’s central region.
Additionally, MIG co-owners Ben Nehls, Chad Miller, Christian Barnes, and Joe Stiles will join NFP as vice presidents, all reporting to Miller.
Ruback said: “I am thrilled to welcome Greg and the MIG team to NFP. With their outstanding reputation and loyal customer base across Indiana, they will help us continue to grow our strong commercial P&C presence in the state.

By GlobalData“We are welcoming talented new team members with exceptional expertise and middle-market experience who will partner well with our existing team in Indiana.”
Miller added: “We are excited to join NFP and start another chapter in our successful history. From the time my family started this agency, we have invested in our people and capabilities to bring clients the best solutions and service.
“As part of NFP, we can leverage their resources, expand our offerings and bring additional value to our clients by helping them address their risk mitigation needs in Indiana and beyond.”
The acquisition is part of NFP’s growth plan, which has identified Indiana as a key area for expansion.
NFP previously acquired other Indiana-based firms, such as First Person in 2021 and City Securities Insurance in 2017, and has made hires in the state.
MIG’s addition will further enhance NFP’s capabilities and geographic reach, particularly in northern Indiana.
In September 2024, NFP also acquired Scott Litman Insurance Agency, a P&C intermediary specialising in habitational risk in the Los Angeles region.
NFP’s expansion is not limited to the US; the company has also extended its operations internationally.
In Ireland, NFP acquired Orca Financial Group, a Dublin-based specialist financial brokerage, and Sean Barrett Bloodstock Insurances, known for its specialty insurance offerings.
