US-based insurance wholesaler and programme manager One80 Intermediaries has launched a new insurance policy offering coverage for pandemic and epidemic risks.
Dubbed Pandemic Protector, this new policy is underwritten in the London market.
Pandemic Protector offers non-damage business interruption insurance for loss of gross profit resulting from epidemic and/or pandemic outbreak. It provides coverage against future outbreaks of both known and unknown diseases.
Furthermore, the coverage includes access to specialised experts to assist in outbreak mitigation and crisis management.
The company noted that the coverage is designed for companies of all sizes.
It is accessible for small to mid-sized businesses due to lower limit offerings and suitable for Fortune 500 companies as it can offer up to $100m in total limits, noted the company.
