Start-up insurer Oscar Health has partnered with Montefiore Health System to launch co-branded Medicare Advantage plan in New York City for the plan year 2020.
Oscar Health, which raised $165m from Alphabet in March 2018 at a valuation of $3.2bn, will also launch the plan in Houston, Texas.
Subject to receipt of CMS approval, the residents of New York can enrol in the new plan beginning 15 October, during the Annual Open Enrollment Period, the company said.
Oscar claims that its service will allow users to find quickly quality, ‘affordable doctors and access care’ as per their needs.
Montefiore will collaborate with Oscar’s personalised concierge teams who get to know members and help them find the most appropriate doctors and pharmacies.
Oscar CEO Mario Schlosser said: “We are looking forward to a long partnership with Montefiore that enables us to reach new members.
