Professional Program Insurance Brokerage (PPIB) has purchased the assets of brokerage firm Jones Birdsong for an undisclosed sum. 

Founded in 2011, Jones Birdsong also provides property and casualty and executive and professional liability coverage.

Jones Birdsong is engaged in providing comprehensive insurance packages for the motorsport entities, including racing events, race tracks, individual competitors, and racing teams.

The firm’s insurance services include casualty, property, executive liability and professional lability while its specialized insurance services including entertainment, healthcare, and hospitality industries.

PPIB president Susan Etter said: “We are ecstatic to bring the entire team at Jones Birdsong on board. This gives PPIB an opportunity to expand our definition of ‘fun & funky’ programs with an experienced and successful specialty team.”

PPIB, a unit of Specialty Program Group which operates as SPG Insurance Solutions, works with brokers to identify solutions for homogenous books of business.

Jones Birdsong president and CEO Donald Birdsong said that by joining forces, the firm intends to enhance its client service capabilities while expanding market access to better serve its clients.

Founded in 1993, Professional Program Insurance Brokerage is engaged in managing general underwriter (MGU) that specialise in providing solutions for emerging and/or challenging risks including cannabis, e-cigarettes, medi spas, beauty salons, tattoo shops, pyrotechnics, and permanent cosmetics.
