UK-based insurance brokerage firm Reich Insurance Group in collaboration with SchemeServe has introduced a new funeral services insurance scheme.
The scheme, which is available on a wholesale basis via partner intermediaries, has been created to provide coverage as an add-on at the point of sale of headstones.

Reich Insurance said that the new policy provides protection against damage to the headstone as well as third-party liability.
Commenting on the launch of the new scheme, Reich Insurance head of legal schemes Mark Costello said: “This was a challenging brief; headstone insurance is sold at a highly emotive and sensitive time for the policyholder.
“We needed a technology solution that would present the cover simply and sensitively with as little ‘fuss’ as possible while maintaining complete compliance over the sales process.
“It took SchemeServe less than 14 days to get the scheme built and live and it delivers on all fronts. The service and delivery have been exemplary.”
