US-based insurance brokerage Relation Insurance Services has purchased the assets of Forest Insurance Agency for an undisclosed sum. 

Headquartered in Forest Park, Illinois, Forest focuses on personal and business insurance. 

The transaction was effective from 1 December 2024.  

Forest president Dan Browne said: “Becoming part of Relation allows us to enhance the level of service we provide to our clients. With Relation’s deep expertise and extensive carrier network, our clients gain access to tailored coverage options that align with their needs.”  

The company will continue to operate under Browne’s management. 

Relation CEO Tim Hall stated: “Forest is highly regarded in their community, and Relation is proud to have them join our organisation. Founded in 1957, their agency brings generational relationships as well as deep experience in providing comprehensive insurance solutions to their clients. We are excited to welcome them to our team.” 

This deal follows Relation’s acquisition of the assets of Business Aviation Insurance Services (BAIS) last month.  

BAIS, a Concord, California-based company founded in 2002 by Geoff Logan, is known for its expertise in aviation insurance.  

Logan will continue to lead BAIS as it integrates into the Relation Insurance framework. 

Additionally, Relation announced the acquisition of SFBAG Employee Benefit Insurance Services (SFBAG) last month.  

SFBAG, situated in San Francisco, offers specialised employee benefits services and will be managed by John Cross, who will maintain his role within Relation. 

Backed by private equity firm Aquiline Capital Partners, Relation is a privately held corporation that delivers risk management and benefits consulting services across the US.  

With a staff headcount of around 1,350, the company operates out of more than 100 locations throughout the nation.
