Rokstone, an UK based managing general agent (MGA) under Aventum Group, has launched a new Middle Market Aviation programme.
This initiative will provide brokers with access to Lloyd’s capacity.
According to Rokstone, this launch broadens its “appetite” to larger general aviation risks and manufacturers, spanning everything above light aircraft but below the major manufacturers and airports.
The new offering builds upon Rokstone’s existing Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SME) and Light Aviation programme, which was launched in 2024 with backing from Allianz.
This programme has been providing solutions for smaller aviation risks.
The Middle Market Aviation programme is supported by a “fronting partner” and has capacity backed by Tokio Marine Kiln.
It offers two key products – general aviation and aerospace.
General aviation covers corporate and commercial aircraft risks, including both manned and unmanned aircraft.
Aerospace covers products liability, airports and airport service providers.
The company stated that the limits are $10m (£7.72m) for hull and $50m for liability.
Brokers are provided with the scale and flexibility they require while being supported by aviation underwriting experts in the US market, added the company.
The new programme leverages partners with “quote and bind technology” for the insurance process.
Rokstone Aviation global head Jordan Lanford said: “This was an obvious next step for Rokstone Aviation. We are bringing the same level of underwriting expertise to an underserved mid-market segment, providing brokers with speed, security and the access they need to better serve their clients.”
In November 2024, Rokstone launched Rokstone Parametric in collaboration with NormanMax Lloyd’s Syndicate 3939.
This partnership introduced an initial $10m worldwide parametric facility, offering coverage for natural disaster risks such as earthquakes, hurricanes, tropical cyclones and typhoons.
Plans to include additional perils like floods are set for 2025.
In July last year, Rokstone created a new sports and leisure casualty division in the US.
