Ryan Specialty’s financial lines managing general underwriter (MGU), Ryan Financial Lines (RFL), has completed its rebranding initiative and expanded its product offerings.

This move aims to enhance its global reach and provide a comprehensive suite of financial lines products and services.

RFL was established in December 2023 by combining the operations of multiple existing MGUs and programmes.

This unification process’ first phase was implemented in March 2024 with the rebranding of EmergIn Risk into RFL Cyber.

The move has consolidated StartPoint, Ryan Specialty Nordics, Capital Bay and three professional liability programmes from the Ryan Specialty National Programmes platform.

Coinciding with the rebranding is the activation of a new international facility.

This facility provides RFL with a $10m line to write management, financial and professional lines out of Europe, London and Latin America.

It expands RFL’s capacity to quote for international financial institutions and professional indemnity, service Europe and add a new London operation to the international reinsurance facility.

In March, alongside the EmergIn rebrand, RFL Cyber secured a new three-year binder capacity agreement with a carrier.

This agreement includes delegated claims authority to coordinate and manage cyber and media claims on the binder.

The consolidation into RFL is designed to support both small-to-middle market companies and large insured enterprises, offering a more holistic approach and strategy internationally.

Ryan Specialty has also fortified its team with key hires in underwriting, claims, cyber and facultative strategy, among others.
