American insurance company Sedgwick has acquired Candau, a full-service claims adjusting firm, for an undisclosed sum.
Through the acquisition of Candau, which offers services in Montana, Wyoming and the nearby region, Sedgwick seeks to expand its end-to-end auto claims solution for clients.
The acquired firm also offers residential and commercial property adjusting, heavy truck and trailer and speciality appraisals.
Sedgwick managing director of auto solutions Chris Bakes said: “We are excited to partner with Candau, which has over 20 years of automotive experience and a deep understanding of the Mountain West region.
“This partnership will help us better serve clients as we continue to build our automotive claims solutions across the country, as well as sharpen our focus on providing a comprehensive, technology-centric approach to modern claims management.”
Sedgwick noted that the acquisition also strengthens its adjuster coverage network. It claims to have a network of more than 1,000 independent appraisers.
