Sedgwick, an American firm that offers technology-enabled risk, benefits and integrated business solutions, has acquired Nordic Loss Adjusting and related entities.
The acquired entity independently offers claims handling, loss adjusting and third-party administration services to insurers and captives in the Nordic and global markets.
Set up in 2010, NLA manages motor, property, liability, bodily injury and medical expense insurance claims for consumer and commercial products.
NLA manages offices in Gothenburg, Stockholm and Oslo (Asker).
Sedgwick said that both the companies NLA have matching capabilities, geographic presence and approaches to customer service in the region.
Sedgwick CEO of international operations Ian Muress said: “NLA’s strong presence in Sweden and Norway positions us well to expand Sedgwick’s market share in the Nordics.

Sedgwick said that the combined operation in Sweden will be headed by Dahlström and Claes Frick, deputy CEO of Sweden.
Similarly, the pooled operation in Norway will be overseen by Siversten and Philip Hayes, COO of Norway. Christian Leif Hansen has been given the responsibility to manage the combined teams as CEO of the Nordics.
