
Sedgwick has continued its buying spree with the takeover of Atlanta-based temporary housing provider Temporary Accommodations.
Financial terms of the transaction were not made public.
The acquired entity will become part of Sedgwick’s property Americas division.
Temporary Accommodations founder, president and CEO Aaron Wilson said: “Joining an industry leader like Sedgwick will take our work to the next level.

Temporary Accommodations serves displaced insurance policyholders after incidents of emergency evacuations as well as damage from wind, storm, fire, water.

Commenting on the acquired business, Sedgwick executive vice president Steve Powell said: “They are often on the front lines when disaster strikes, providing care and comfort to displaced families.
“Temporary Accommodations is a natural fit with the Sedgwick team, and joining forces will allow us to work together to support the entire claims journey and recovery process. We look forward to this partnership and to providing clients with end-to-end property claims solutions.”
Sedgwick, whose controlling stake is owned by The Carlyle Group, offers technology-driven risk, benefits and integrated business solutions. Stone Point Capital, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ), Onex and the management have minority holdings in the firm.
The latest deal continues Sedgwick’s trend of consolidation activities in recent years.
Earlier this year, Sedgwick snapped up claims adjusting firm Candau.
In December 2020, Sedgwick purchased Expert Solutions service line from Stericycle to provide recall, remediation and retention solutions to customers.
