With the move, the P&C insurer looks to enhance value for agents, policyholders and employees.
The move is part of Shelter’s Monarch business transformation initiative, which focuses on enhancing the company’s capabilities to sustain its market success.
Shelter executive vice-president Teresa Magruder said: “Shelter believes using technology and data to re-imagine business processes and workflows is the key to value creation for our agents, employees and customers.
“Guidewire fits with our Monarch business transformation initiative to highlight our strategic investment in technology and delivery of new business processes and models to keep Shelter in an industry-leading position now and into the future.”
Guidewire PartnerConnect Consulting Global Strategic member PwC will lead the implementation of Guidewire.
PwC Global Guidewire practice leader Imran Ilyas stated: “We remain dedicated to providing Shelter with unmatched expertise and support as they embark on this transformative project.”
Additionally, Shelter opted for Guidewire Canvas, Guidewire Explore, Guidewire HazardHub and Guidewire Predict.
These tools will be integrated into policy and claims workflows, providing actionable insights directly within the processes.
Shelter will also leverage Guidewire Digital applications to further its digital engagement.
Guidewire chief commercial officer David Laker commented: “We are pleased that Shelter has chosen Guidewire to serve as the technology foundation to continue its mission of building enduring relationships with its customers by providing exceptional service and value.”
Shelter will deploy all Guidewire products on Guidewire Cloud across its P&C brands.
The rollout will commence with personal lines of business in the states where Shelter operates, eventually extending into commercial lines.
