SiriusPoint, a specialty insurer and reinsurer, has appointed Anthony Williams as the new chief risk officer (CRO) for its SiriusPoint International Managing Agency and international business.
Due to begin his role on 19 August 2024, Williams brings more than two decades of industry experience to the position.
Williams’ background includes work with insurance carriers, managing general agents and the Lloyd’s market.
His previous roles have encompassed leadership positions in risk management, including serving as interim CRO at IQUW and as CRO at CNA Hardy.
Williams also chaired the Lloyd’s Market Association’s Committee of Actuaries in the Lloyd’s Market and was a member of its Chief Risk Officer Committee.
In his new capacity, Williams will report to Andreas Kull, CRO of the SiriusPoint group.

Last month, SiriusPoint formed a strategic partnership with Euclid Security, a managing general underwriter with a focus on security industry risks.
As part of the collaboration, SiriusPoint will act as the exclusive carrier partner for Euclid Security’s liability programme, which offers coverage for alarm and security services, as well as fire suppression protection.
Additionally, in April 2024, SiriusPoint secured a long-term capacity deal with UK-based Pen Underwriting.
