Sompo Insurance Thailand has teamed up with Collinson International, the operator of Priority Pass, to introduce Sompo Smart Delay platform, aimed at enhancing the travel experience for its customers.  

This offers Sompo policyholders in Thailand access to more than 1,600 airport lounges worldwide in the event of a flight delay. 

Recent research by Priority Pass indicates that 60% of travellers experience stress due to preflight issues, leading to a “fear of switching off” throughout their journey.  

The partnership will see the integration of the Sompo TravelJoy platform into Collinson International’s SmartDelay solution. 

Eligible Sompo TravelJoy policyholders will receive a digital lounge access voucher, allowing them to redeem their “real-time travel benefit”.  

Sompo Smart Delay is now available under Sompo TravelJoy Plan C, which offers complementary lounge access to single-trip and annual-trip policyholders for flight delays of one hour when departing from or arriving in Thailand.

The Plan B+ plan extends this benefit to delays of two hours or more.
