US-based fintech firm SS&C Technologies has completed its previously announced acquisition of Capita Life & Pensions Services (Ireland) (CLPSI).
The deal also includes certain related businesses.
In April last year, SS&C agreed to purchase CLPSI for an undisclosed sum to extend its business process outsourcing offering internationally.
CLPSI focuses on providing business process management, technology and consultancy services to the international life and pensions sector.
The scope of services includes financial and back-office administration, claims management, actuarial and financial reporting, investment administration, product and IT development and business transformation services.
The deal also adds around 370 employees to its offices in Dublin, Belfast and Craigforth.
With the acquisition now complete, it will continue to focus on Ireland as part of SS&C’s Global Investor and Distribution Solutions business.
SS&C Technologies chairman and CEO Bill Stone said: “We are pleased to welcome CLPSI’s clients and skilled personnel to SS&C.
“This acquisition increases not only our footprint, but our depth across multi-jurisdictional servicing, life and pensions expertise, and technology to support for products throughout their lifecycle.
“Retirement assets are becoming increasingly complex and our Global Investor and Distribution Solutions provide a variety of capabilities from accumulation through distribution.”
Founded in 1986, SS&C provides services and software solutions for the financial services and healthcare industries.
The company is headquartered in Windsor, Connecticut, and has around 22,000 employees across 150 office locations in 35 countries.
