Financial services industry veteran Jennifer
Gregory has been appointed national vice-president for business
development, group savings and retirement at Standard Life in
Canada.
Gregory will be responsible for creating a
strategic vision and a national roadmap to grow Standard Life’s
group savings and retirement businesses in Canada. Her appointment
becomes effective from 17 September.
Charles Guay, president and CEO of Standard
life, said Gregory’s arrival ties in perfectly well with our
continued efforts “to be an industry leader” in long-term savings
and investment solutions.
Prior to this appointment Gregory held several
senior positions at Great-West Life Assurance after joining the
company in 1993. She was most recently their Vice-President
National Accounts, Group Retirement Services.
Standard Life is a Scotland-headquartered
investment and savings company.
Its business in Canada is the largest
operation outside the UK. It provides insurance and investment
services to more than 1.4m Canadians.
