Canadian insurer Sun Life has selected Amazon Web Services (AWS) as its long-term strategic cloud technology provider to support its digital transformation.
Under the partnership, Sun Life will use AWS’s portfolio of cloud technologies, including analytics, machine learning, storage, security, and databases, to enhance operational efficiency and innovation.
Concurrently, the insurer has launched a cloud skills training programme for its employees.
The programme is called Catalysts for Cloud, which leverages AWS Skills Guild.
Initially, the insurer plans to certify the first 450 business and technical employees with Catalysts for Cloud and will continue to train more employees to accelerate the could adoption process.
Additionally, Sun Life has built development workspaces in North America and innovation labs in Asia aimed at driving innovation using AWS’ technologies.
