Insurers Swiss Life and Sanitas have developed
a joint distribution and market development concept that can be
tailored to changing customer circumstances and can help them to
introduce product and service innovations quickly.
The cooperation means that while Sanitas
boosts Swiss Life’s sales support, Swiss Life promotes the
marketing and distribution of health insurance products offered by
Sanitas.
The insurers have also launched an offering
that combines mandatory basic coverage with supplementary insurance
for inpatient and outpatient care.
Swiss Life will be offering SimplyCare, which
provides tailored supplementary cover in addition to the basic
mandatory health coverage.
It will still leave patients free to use their
basic insurance each year. Ivo Furrer, CEO of Swiss Life
Switzerland, said: “This cooperation will prove crucial in enabling
us to offer further joint product and service innovations, which
are not only tailored to changing customer circumstances, but can
also be introduced quickly and efficiently to Swiss Life
clients.
“For Swiss Life this represents an important
step in its transition from a pure life insurer to a comprehensive
financial protection provider.
