Swiss Re Global Business Solutions (GBS) India has announced plans to launch a new centre in Hyderabad in September this year.
Swiss Re GBS India is the analytical and innovation hub of the Swiss Re.
The new centre will be used by the reinsurer to bolster its digital, data and technology capabilities.
Currently, Swiss Re GBS India operates a centre in Bangalore, which was established in 2001.
Swiss Re expects both the Indian centres to drive global business impact in the reinsurance space and support the group’s operations to achieve better results.
Swiss Re group chief digital & technology officer Pravina Ladva said: “By strengthening our data and digital capabilities, employing our modelling expertise, and developing new data-driven services, we can predict and mitigate risk before an event even happens.
