Mukesh Dhawan has been named deputy chief executive officer and chief distribution officer at Indian insurer Tata AIA Life Insurance Company with immediate effect.
Dhawan will be responsible for creating and implementing new strategies in marketing, product development and distribution.

He will be reporting to Suresh Mahalingam, Tata AIA Life’s Managing Director and CEO.
Commenting on Dhawan’s appointment, Mahalingam said: "His impressive track record of working with both start-ups and established insurance companies in India and Asian markets makes him an invaluable asset for the organisation."
Prior to his appointment, Dhawan served as AIA’s group regional chief agency officer, for Singapore, Malaysia, China and Taiwan.
