Insurtech Tempcover has launched an app that provides comprehensive short-term vehicle insurance.
The key element of the app is a two-step policy confirmation process that allows customers to be covered with 90 seconds.
Working with its underwriting partners, it has simplified the question set for customers. In addition, it is in “straightforward English” with “no long-winded T&Cs”.
Furthermore, the app enables customers to make a unique user profile for all policy documentation to be viewed and managed.
Security is managed by either a six-digit PIN or a the smartphones built-in biometric authentication.
The app also provides exclusive access to the Covered Club loyalty scheme where customers ar erewarded with discounts.

By GlobalDataTempcover CTO Marc Pell said: “The new and entirely overhauled user experience was co-created with customers – with multiple-stage research and testing resulting in a fit-for-purpose user experience based on customer demands and expectations.
“Whether you need to borrow a car, test drive a new vehicle before buying or even drive away with a new set of wheels straight from the forecourt without having to arrange annual cover, Tempcover’s short-term car insurance policies offer comprehensive cover as standard. An added benefit is there’s no risk to any existing No Claims Discount, as it’s a separate and standalone policy.”
Tempcover has focused on short-term vehicle insurance since 2006 with policies that last between 1 hour and 28 days.
To date, it has sold more than three-million policies.
