US-based Travel Insured International (TII), part of Crum & Forster (C&F) Accident & Health (A&H) division, has introduced its new travel protection product suite.

This suite comprises three distinct plans – Essential, Deluxe and Platinum.

The plans replace the former Worldwide Trip Protector and Worldwide Trip Protector Edge products.

They are said to offer several benefits such as baggage and personal effects, medical evacuation, medical expenses due to accidents and sickness, missed connections, repatriation of remains, trip cancellations and interruptions, and trip delays.

TII has made optional coverage bundles available that can be added to the base plans for enhanced customisation.

The Pet Bundle addresses pet-related travel expenses such as kennel fees and veterinary costs.

Other optional bundles include the Hotel, Amusement and Theme Park Bundle, which offers protection against travel inconveniences and change fee coverage.

Additionally, the Cruise Bundle extends additional trip interruption coverage for activities such as shore excursions.

The Flight Bundle coverage includes accidental death and dismemberment to flights, as well as change fees.

The Essential Plan serves as an entry-level option, featuring a $200,000 limit for medical evacuation and repatriation of remains.

The Deluxe Plan, positioned as a mid-tier choice, includes standard optional bundles and the cancel for any reason (CFAR) and interrupt for any reason (IFAR) bundle, along with trip delay upgrade.

The Platinum Plan stands as the premier offering, with the highest medical evacuation and repatriation of remains benefit limit of $1m, the CFAR/IFAR bundle, and additional options such as a baggage bundle and an extreme sports and medical upgrade.

TII president Barbra Merwin said: “By introducing this enhanced three-tier product structure, Travel Insured International reaffirms its commitment to delivering tailored, travel protection solutions. Designed through close collaboration with our customers and partners, this new suite provides travellers with meaningful benefits and delivers flexible coverage options to meet their needs their way, and protects the travel investment they have made.”
