Universal Sompo General Insurance Company has partnered with BSE Ebix Insurance Broking to sell general insurance products utilising BSE Ebix’s distribution network in a fully digitised environment.
As part of the tie-up, Universal Sompo’s Corona Kavach cover will be sold through certified Point of Sales Persons (PoSPs) of BSE Ebix. BSE Ebix is said to have over 7,200 registered PoSPs currently.
Corona Kavach is a short-term policy which covers Covid-19 related hospitalisation expenses. It was launched as per the guidelines announced by the Insurance Regulator and Development Authority of India (IRDAI).
The partnership is anticipated to help more people to purchase insurance plans and protect themselves, and their families against the deadly virus.
