
British medical insurer VitalityHealth is set to launch its preventative healthcare benefits solution for its small-to-medium-sized private medical insurance (PMI) clients.
Dubbed Vitality Essentials, the new product is offered without any additional premium to Vitality’s Business Healthcare clients who cover a percentage of their employees with full PMI.
Remaining employees of the company can use Vitality Essentials to enjoy various lifestyle and primary care benefits which includes 40% discounts on Virgin Active and Nuffield Health gym membership as well as up to 40% discount on wearable fitness devices.
Employees can also access to virtual GP consultations and the online Vitality Age assessment for free along with a discount on an annual Vitality Health check.
Additionally, members will be able to earn Vitality points by remaining active and by undertaking biometric health screens.
The points earned by members determine their Vitality status such as bronze, silver, gold and platinum. Furthermore, members can win tickets to sporting events that will also boost their Vitality status.

The Association of Medical Insurers and Intermediaries executive chairman Stuart Scullion said: “Vitality Essentials will enable employers and employees to take a first step onto the healthcare ladder, which should result in increased productivity through improved health and wellbeing.”
