Westland Insurance Group, a property and casualty insurance broker in Canada, has closed three new acquisitions.
The acquisitions include two Alberta-based firms- Hillcrest Insurance and Pinks & Plates Insurance, and Moon Insurance from Saskatchewan.
The three acquired brokerages provide residential, auto, travel, farm, and commercial insurance services. Overall, they have seven branch locations in total.
Hillcrest Insurance’s main office is in Strathmore, Alberta. It also has a satellite office in Rockyford, northwest of Calgary.
Pinks & Plates Insurance office is located in Chestermere, while Moon Insurance used to provide services in Saskatoon, Radisson, Colonsay, and Vanscoy under various brand names.
As part of the acquisitions, a total of 27 employees will join Westland Insurance.

Currently, Westland has 170 locations in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia.
Established in 1980, the family-owned company provides expert advice to home, business, farm, life, and auto insurance clients. It has around 1,900 employees.
Last month, it completed the acquisition of MBS Insurance Brokers, which provided insurance services in Edmonton for more than 50 years.
The deal added 24 MBS Insurance Brokers employees to Westland workforce.
