US-based Wisp Resort has reached an agreement with technology firm InsuraGuest to provide specialised insurance coverage for a hotel guest at time of check-in.
Under the arrangement, InsuraGuest’s API will be integrated with the hotel’s property management system that covers the hotel’s 168 rooms.
Upon integration, the InsuraGuest software will enable the resort to transfer its exposure to liability by providing specialised protection policies for hotel guests.
The resort will buy the InsuraGuest coverage for each registered guest and all room occupants upon check-in.
The premium for the insurance coverage will be borne by the guest. The coverage will include theft of personal property during hotel stay along with accidental medical expense and accidental death and dismemberment.
Wisp Resort general manager Jerry Geisler said: “We are very excited to provide the InsuraGuest Guest Protection product for our guests.
