INSTANDA is an insurance software company that has developed a fully customisable Cloud-based self-service platform that covers the end-to-end policy lifecycle, distribution and agent management.
The company’s innovative underwriting software capabilities include real-time data augmentation, question design, rating capability and a dynamic forms builder.
Self-service policy administration platform for insurers
INSTANDA’s platform was designed to be a full end-to-end platform for both managing general agents (MGAs) and larger carriers to integrate within their existing systems, so clients can use the platform to design, develop and distribute new products.
The platform also includes comprehensive portal capabilities for brokers and consumers to self-manage policies in real-time, so mid-term adjustments (MTAs) and claims can be efficiently processed. All INSTANDA functions are designed for business user level change, so no additional technical support is needed.
INSTANDA’s platform also offers optimal processing speeds. Its cycle times for product design and distribution are typically ten times faster than a legacy equivalent, costs to implement range from 50 to 20 times lower than typical policy admin platforms.
API-enabled framework for fast deployment
The application protocol interface (API) framework allows easily configurable plug-ins and ‘headless’ deployments.
Insurance can now be bought via Facebook Messenger following integration with an automated chatbot, a feature that appeals to larger global insurers for their business-to-consumer operations.
Previous client projects
INSTANDA believes that being one of the few software as a service (SaaS) multi-tenanted core insurance platforms in the world means the speed of its platform enhancement is unrivalled. It also aims to be one of the most advanced yet easy-to-use product and policy management platforms on the market.
For example, Zurich UK used INSTANDA to successfully deliver a digital broker platform for SME commercial combined products. Given the power of the platform, clients are increasingly moving books of business across to revitalise product portfolios.
In August 2018, the company ran a proof of concept project with ‘Impact 25’ member Digital Fineprint to develop a risk and insurance recommendation tool for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Once customers choose the relevant cover based on Digital FinePrint’s recommendations, they proceed to INSTANDA’s quote and buy platform to complete the purchase and ongoing policy administration.
